Shipping policy
Introduction
This policy contains details of the delivery methods, periods and charges that apply to orders for our products made through our website https://shop.pearlybooks.com
This policy is a legally binding document and forms part of the contract of sale between you and us made under our terms and conditions of sale. This policy does not create legally enforceable rights and obligations; it merely indicates our usual practice about the delivery of the products.
Free delivery
We offer free, Royal Mail Tracked 48 delivery to all mainland UK addresses on all orders over £20.00 (GBP). All other orders will be subject to delivery charges. We advise customers to purchase multiple books to save on postage costs.
Geographical limitations
We will usually deliver to the following countries and territories: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Delivery methods
The main shipping company we use to deliver our products is Royal Mail. We will provide a tracking number and we will dispatch your ordered item promptly. However, the delivery schedule is dependent on the postal services.
Delivery charges
Delivery charges will be calculated by our website and automatically applied to your order during the checkout process or quoted by us. Applicable delivery charges will depend upon the delivery method you select, the location of the delivery address, and the size and weight of the products in your order.
Delivery tracking
We will provide the delivery tracking details. Orders are generally dispatched by Royal Mail Tracked 48 and can be tracked by visiting the Royal Mail tracking website. All deliveries must be received in person at the delivery address.
Delivery problems
If you experience any problems with a delivery, please contact us at info@pearlybooks.com quoting your order number and the item you’ve ordered. Please give us 24-hours to reply to you.
If our delivery service provider is unable to deliver your products, and such failure is your fault, and you do not collect your products from our delivery service provider within the applicable time limit, we may agree to arrange for re-delivery of the products. However, we reserve the right to charge you for the actual costs of re-delivery (even where the initial delivery was free of charge).
An indicative list of the situations where a failure to deliver will be your fault is set out below:
(a) you provided the wrong address for delivery.
(b) there is a mistake in the address for delivery that was provided.
(c) the address for delivery is not reasonably accessible.
(d) the address for delivery cannot safely be accessed.
(e) if an in-person receipt is not required, there are no easy and secure means of leaving the products at the address for delivery, and there is no person available to accept the delivery; or
(f) if an in-person receipt is required, there is no person available at the address to accept delivery and provide a signature.
